This year’s Golden Globes Awards must have sparkled just a little bit brighter than usual. The Sunday night broadcast brought in 14% more viewers this year than watched the show last year according to Nielsen data The boost in ratings could have been the curiosity over host comedian Ricky Gervais, the nomination of so many blockbuster movies like “Avatar,” “Sherlock Holmes,” “The Hangover” and “The Blind Side” or maybe just America’s need for some Hollywood glamour after watching devastating coverage of the Haiti earthquake last week. Despite competing against the season premiere of Fox’s “24” and ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” the show brought in 16.9 million viewers earning it a 5.4 rating among adults 18-49.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Difficult people can make your work day less enjoyable. With the right strategies, you can learn to deal with them effectively.

Today women’s tennis is getting a big boost not just because of the high caliber of play but with the beautiful faces that dominate the playing venues. Now spectators are getting a double treat, enjoying top level plays at the same time watching beautiful girls.
Ask any tennis buff on their pick on who are today’s tennis glamour girls and possibly you’ll get 100 names or mores. I too have a list and would like to share it with you. Chris Evert Lloyd, Steffi Graf, Anna Kournikova and Martina Hingis some of the name that I could have included but since they’re all now retired, guess I could include them in another list. The editors of the Norwegian Book Clubs, with the Norwegian Nobel Institute, polled a panel of 100 authors from 54 countries on what they considered the “best and most central works in world literature.” Among the authors polled were Milan Kundera, Doris Lessing, Seamus Heaney, Salman Rushdie, Wole Soyinka, John Irving, Nadine Gordimer, and Carlos Fuentes. The list of 100 works appears alphabetically by author. Although the books were not ranked, the editors revealed that Don Quixote received 50% more votes than any other book.

It seems this year in politics is all about women. We had one who nearly became the Democratic nominee, one who is the Republican VP nominee and possibly a heartbeat away from the presidency. Women are the hot topic in politics, but are they hot? Earlier in the primaries, Jack Nicholson recorded a commercial in favor Hillary Clinton and used a quote from one of his movies where he said “There is nothing on this earth sexier, believe me gentleman, than a woman that you have to salute in the morning.” With that, here are 10 of the world’s sexiest female politicians. Palmistry is a method of interpreting the shape of the hand and the lines of the palm, to project the character and possible life experiences of an individual. The science is divided into two broad areas: the study of hand structure, or cheirology, and the study of the lines of the palm, or cheiromancy.
The modern theory is that the lines of the hand represent a graphic shorthand of the circuits of the brain. The nerve group that controls the hands is exactly in the centre of the brain, and all the electrical energies of our thinking pass through it. Palmists feel that the lines on the hand are formed in some relation to thought patterns, nerve linkages, or even chromosomal structures.
