The Sunday night broadcast brought in 14% more viewers this year than watched the show last year according to Nielsen data The boost in ratings could have been the curiosity over host comedian Ricky Gervais, the nomination of so many blockbuster movies like “Avatar,” “Sherlock Holmes,” “The Hangover” and “The Blind Side” or maybe just America’s need for some Hollywood glamour after watching devastating coverage of the Haiti earthquake last week. Despite competing against the season premiere of Fox’s “24” and ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” the show brought in 16.9 million viewers earning it a 5.4 rating among adults 18-49.

Today women’s tennis is getting a big boost not just because of the high caliber of play but with the beautiful faces that dominate the playing venues. Now spectators are getting a double treat, enjoying top level plays at the same time watching beautiful girls.

Ask any tennis buff on their pick on who are today’s tennis glamour girls and possibly you’ll get 100 names or mores. I too have a list and would like to share it with you. Chris Evert Lloyd, Steffi Graf, Anna Kournikova and Martina Hingis some of the name that I could have included but since they’re all now retired, guess I could include them in  another list. According to the studio behind the highly anticipated sequel to last year’s ‘Twilight,’ the movie made more than $26 million on the first day, breaking all records for a first-day release.

Katrina Kaif in Hera Pheri 3, Producer Firoz Nadiadwala is relieved. The third part to the Hera Pheri series is finally set to be made. The third part will have Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal coming together yet again. This time, the heroine of the film will be Katrina Kaif and it will be directed by Anees Bazmee, unlike the previous two films that were directed by Priyadarshan and Neeraj Vohra respectively. The film will be called Hera Pheri 4 instead of 3. The reason for doing so will be given in the promos of the film when it is ready. Akshay Kumar was earlier having date issues but he managed to fit in Hera Pheri into his schedule anyhow. Meanwhile, he is going to be seen with Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal.

India riyadarshan wants to bring together his favourite actress Tabu and Aamir Khan in his upcoming film on AIDS. It will be the first time the duo will be seen opposite each together. The actors however starred in Fanaa, but didn’t have any scene together. While Aamir played a terrorist, Tabu portrayed an intelligence official.

Priyan confirms Aamir’s presence in the 95-minute realistic, yet-untitled film on AIDS.

Priyadarshan tells a daily that he’d love to have Tabu on board and sees no hitch in the pairing. “I wanted to make this film a year back. But I wanted to see the reaction to my other realistic film Kanchivaram. Now that I know my audience is as open to watching my more realistic films as my comedies, I’ve approached Aamir for my film on AIDS.”

Priyan says it would take him three months to write the script. “A lot of research is involved. Making a film on AIDS is not the same thing as making a comedy. Both require different kinds of discipline.”

Deepika also feels that Katrina is behind the recent reports about his struggle with Ranbir.
