Project Manager, Commodities – Settlements Jobs

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager who has previously implemented Thunderhead into a similar organization.

The Commodities Operations CTB team is responsible for the planning and implementation of selected agreed tactical and strategic projects to support the Commodities business. The CTB team is comprised of a mixture of business analysts and project managers..

The first project will be to commence implementation of Thunderhead across the business

The candidate will manage a multi-year Thunderhead project for the commodities documentation and settlements teams.

Key responsibilities are:

* Undertake project initiation, analysis, business case development and agree mobilisation plans with stakeholders
* Work closely with IT, business lines and other project teams to develop solution design and delivery model across internal & outsourced resources
* Lead overall delivery across project phases (business analysis, development, testing, deployment)
* Interact with the regional/ global heads in Run the Bank Commodities Documentation & Settlements to prioritise requirements and changes
* Manage delivery & escalation for all project activities across operations and IT
* Influence stakeholders within Operations, change management, middle office and IT to achieve project objectives

Key duties will include:

* Full life cycle project planning, resource and budget management.
* Establishing governance model, Planning, requirements gathering, managing buy/build assessment, managing technology deliverables, defining and managing test strategy and execution.
* Chairing of project Steering committee and providing regular status updates to stakeholders

To succeed in your application for this role, strong full life-cycle project management experience and proven delivery for complex, bespoke applications engaging with multiple global stakeholder groups with be essential. Excellent front to back knowledge of Commodities product life-cycle (trading through to confirmation and settlement) is also required.

Candidates with a strong working knowledge of Thunderhead will have a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities

Provide proactive reception services between the core hours of 8.30am – 5.30pm, 2 days per week.
Co-ordinate meeting room bookings, prepare and clear meeting rooms and provide refreshments for clients.
Undertake administrative duties within the Client Services Department, in particular data entry tasks.
Ad hoc assistance to various departments e.g. filing. photocopying, taking minutes of meetings, research, scanning documents.
Organizing international and national couriers.
Receipt of delivered goods, checking delivery notes against purchase orders and delivering to stationery stocks.

The Candidate
The successful candidate MUST have previous reception and switchboard experience in a corporate environment as well as good working knowledge of MS Office. A flexible and helpful disposition is necessary and the candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills. It is also essential that they are willing to get involved with administration, and data entry tasks in addition to reception duties.

Surveillance Specialist (CLO and Structured Credit Manager)

We are currently working with a well respected CLO Management and Structured Credit Investment house who are looking for an experienced hire for their Middle Office/ Surveillance function in London.

You will be part of a team of three operations analysts, providing operational support for the European Leveraged Finance and Global Structured Credit teams. The role will be diverse and you can expect to be involved in a broad range of areas working closely with the Investment and Finance teams;

- Supporting and supervising Back and Middle Office operations (loan and bond settlements, trade captures, P&L reconciliations for five Funds (2 Cash CLOs, 3 Structured Funds))
- On a daily basis, monitoring and updating in Wall Street Office (WSO) the Funds’ underlying collateral data (ratings, spreads, .), the compliance tests and Eligibility Criteria, .
- Reconciliation of the monthly trustee reports with the internal systems and resolving collateral, compliance tests and P&L discrepancies
- Producing and Reconciling against the Fund Administrators Monthly NAV Reports for the 3 Structured Credit Funds
- Forecast, reconcile and authorise Payment Date distributions and reports
- Preparation of Investment Management Monthly Letters and Monthly Collateral Files as well as customised reports and statistics for the management and the investors
- Assist with the interpretation and application of complex transaction documentation (e.g. calculating and modelling waterfall payments and management fees, understanding ISDA implications, .)
- Forecasting Fund’s income, expenses, accruals and Investors returns.
- Maintenance and development of the internal Portfolio Management systems for both team (analytics, marketing, historical performances, .)
- Supporting the Portfolio Managers for both investment teams by pro-actively monitoring a portfolio of five Funds (e.g. asset allocations, running hypos, Funds’ structures, equity return projections, cash and hedges monitoring, .)
- Lead Fund Administrators to produce correct Financial Statements and liaise with Auditors for productions of the yearly Audits
- Improve overall processes and controls

It is highly likely that you will come from another buyside group and will certainly have demonstrably strong experience supporting CLO and/or other Structured credit vehicles. Excpetional candidates from a Corporate Trust environment may be considered.
