Are you Risking Your Health During Your Daily Beauty Regimen?
You may be surprise by how many beauty rituals are actually cause for concern. Normal beauty care can contain some not so pleasant ingredients that you may consider avoiding, if you only knew.
The Dangers in Hair Dye
Using hair dye may increase your risk for certain types of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a blood cancer involving the lymph nodes. A recent study from Yale University published in the American Journal of Epidemiology found that women who started dying their hair before 1980 had a 30% increased risk of getting non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, compared with those who never used hair dye. In professional settings massage involves the client being treated while lying on a massage table, sitting in a massage chair, or lying on a mat on the floor. The massage subject may be fully or partly unclothed. Parts of the body may be covered with towels or sheets.
Specialized massage tables and chairs are used to position clients during massages. A typical commercial massage table has an easily cleaned, heavily padded surface, and a horseshoe-shaped head support that allows the client to breathe easily while lying face down and can be stationary or portable. An orthopedic pillow or bolster can be used to correct body positioning.
Ergonomic chairs serve a similar function as a massage table. Chairs may be either stationary or portable models. Massage chairs are easier for the practitioner to transport than massage tables, and clients do not need to disrobe to receive a chair massage. Due to these two factors, chair massage is often performed in settings such as corporate offices, outdoor festivals, shopping malls, and other public locations.

Height is a sensitive issue in our society. Studies show that most of the people are very conscious of height. Some parents hope their children will become tall in order to be more successful in school, sports careers and non – athletic careers. But hope is not enough to help them grow. Most children grow about 2 inches a year between the ages of 3 and early adolescence, when sex hormones contribute to an even faster growth rate.
Most short children do not have a serious growth problem. Many grow at a normal rate and reach an adult height that is about the same as their parent’s. A child’s rate of growth is an important clue to the presence or absence of a growth problem. A child who is growing at a much slower than normal rate may have some medical problems regardless of his or her height. There are some diseases that can cause poor growth. My program is not a panacea for every single problem that causes poor growth. That is why you should discuss your concerns with a doctor. But if your doctor says that you are destined to be short and there is nothing to be done about it, don’t believe him and read further. (more…)

Many of us would like to have money in savings. Whether it’s for an emergency fund, a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, quitting a job, or simply creating a bit of a buffer between paychecks, having some money set aside can make a huge difference in our ability to reach for our dreams.
But when you’ve got a long way to go before you meet your financial goal, and when – frankly – a dollar spent now seems to provide a lot more pleasure than a dollar saved, how can you make sure you’re motivated enough to put money aside on a regular basis? (more…)

What is it that makes people successful and I mean really successful compared to you or me? Are they smarter or do they work harder? Are they risk takers or have powerful and influential friends?
The financial newspaper Investors Business Daily (IBD) asked these same questions a few years ago and started a multi-year search for the answer. They studied industry leaders, investors and entrepreneurs to understand the traits they all had in common that contributed to their success. Reproduced here is their list of 10 Secrets to Success along with my commentary on each no-so-secret, ‘secret’. (more…)
